AutoCulture SG e-Motorsports @ SITEX 2018
After several months of planning, AutoCulture Singapore finally initiated the launch of eMotorsports Singapore, partnering SIMFAI Solutions to create the awareness and demonstrated what e-Motorsports is all about, during the annual SITEX 2018 held at Singapore Expo Hall 6, from 22nd to 25th of November.
Pulling in our long-term sponsorship partner ~ Stamford Tyres International, who brought in over 600 brand new tyres to display at our booth together with their prized race car, the Falken Nissan 350Z V8 Fairlady.
Kudo to the crew of Stamford Tyres for their amazing efforts, it took them more than 6 hours for the booth setup by commencing the extraction of the tyres from their warehouse to the event ground.
At the event, the SIMFAI team organized the inaugural “SIMFAI Car Clubs Challenge” which saw an overwhelming response by representatives from various car clubs, car enthusiast groups and even local racing teams.
The spirit of competition was high and the lap times set by the drivers were extremely close, separated by just a few milliseconds from each other! With such a high level of competition, a last minute decision was made to include the top 10 drivers instead of the top 5 for the final shootout
During the finals, it was Jonathan Lee from Subaru Club SG who managed to outperform his rivals to take Position 1. Despite being a last minute entrant to the competition, Kenneth Ho managed to get into Position 2, just narrowly missed out on being the top of the leaderboard. Whereas Jonathan Lim from NUS Motoring Club rounds up the podium in Position 3.
